Brighton Rowing Club

BRC is a community-based club for boys and girls, grades 7-12 from throughout the Rochester Metro area (any town, any school district)

  • A total-body workout and the Ultimate Team Sport!

We welcome boys and girls in grades 7 – 12 from any school districts, not just Brighton. No prior experience is required; many of our participants start out new to rowing.

Novice: Open to High school students who are new to rowing (participation in a Learn to Row program is not required).  Athletes are generally on the Novice team for two competitive seasons (Fall and Spring) before moving to the Varsity Team or move up at the next academic year boundary (August 1st).

Varsity: Open to High school students who have completed one to two competitive seasons as a Novice.

Modified Program: Open to 7th and 8th graders, who are not yet eligible to compete in regattas. Modified programs are held throughout the year.
