Varsity and Novice Teams (Grades 8-12):

Winter Training*
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday, 4-5:30pm
February 15-April 8, 2021
*required for all novice & varsity rowers
Location: Badass Bodies by Sean; 936-A Exchange Street

Spring Season:
Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:30pm
April 12-June 4, 2021
Varsity Team: Grades 9-12 with at lease one year of Novice experience 
Novice Team: Grade 8 with Modified experience, Grades 9-12
Location: Genesee Waterways Center
Bring: water bottle, hat or visor  
Wear: spandex/exercise shorts, tight fitting/wicking shirt
There are no USRowing sanctioned regattas this season, due to COVID restrictions.  The local rowing community is working to schedule scrimmages for local teams. 

Modified Team:
Grades 7-8 with no previous rowing experience
Tuesday/Thursday 3:30-5:30pm*
April 27-June 10, 2021*
*Subject to change 
Location: Genesee Waterways Center
Bring: water bottle, hat or visor  
Wear: spandex/exercise shorts, sneakers, tight fitting/wicking shirt

COVID-19 Precautions:
Participants will:
*Wear a mask or face coverings on at all times
*Keep social distance ( at least six feet apart) when not carrying equipment
*Sanitize their own equipment after use 

Cleaning supplies and sanitizer will be made available by BRC.

 

 

 

Brighton Crew is open to anyone in grades 7-12 from any school district. No prior rowing experience is required. Excellent cross-training, low injury risk.

Novice: Open to High school students who are new to rowing (participation in a Learn to Row program is not required). Athletes are generally on the Novice team for two competitive seasons before moving to the Varsity Team.

Varsity: Open to High school students who have completed one to two competitive seasons as a Novice.

Modified: Open to Grades 7-8 who are new to rowing. Participation in a Learn to Row program is not required.
