BRC News 7/5/15: Henley Highlights, GRC at Henley Masters

METADATA-START

Henley Umpires in launch near the start, 7/15

  1. Need a summer rowing fix?    Check out the highlights from the Henley Royal Regatta,  July 1-5, on YouTube.   Rowers will be inspired by these awesome athletes’ technique.  Note the social scene on the riverbank…should we have a similar dress code at the BRC tent?  Hobart’s M8+ advanced to Day 3; Cornell’s M8+ advanced to the semifinals.  Some of the US Junior crews that competed at Nationals were the there.   Other US college teams won the trophy in their event; some competitors are Olympians.  Very exciting!
  2. GRC VIP’s compete at Henley Masters Regatta, Friday and Saturday, July 10-11 in England:  Will and Laura Greene, Lisa Saladino and Tamara Abbott will compete with 9 other GRC rowers in 5 events.  Click here for info about the regatta.  Click here for race schedule.  Good luck to all!
  3. Summer Workouts:  Rowers finished their successful spring season in top shape…keep it up!
  4. Building BRC:   Thanks to those who posted flyers and liked BRC on Facebook!  Click Here for info to share with others.
