Month: January 2016

BRC News 1/20/16: Register Now for Winter/Spring 2016

  1. Registration for Winter/Spring is open!  Click Here to get started.
    1. Process is a little different than in the past because of changes at Regatta Central/USRowing.  No paper forms to fill out!
    2. Please enter email addresses that parents and rowers check regularly; important information comes to that email!
  2. Winter Training starts Saturday, January 23.
    1. Where:  ROC Boxing, 524 Atlantic Avenue, 14609. No boxing,  but kettle bell strength training and a little erging.  Winter workouts used to be mostly ergs, but kids get plenty of aerobic work during the season.  Rowers are able to generate more boat speed if they’re stronger.  Workouts are run/supervised by the gym’s owner and our coaches. The strategy works. Kids like the variety and race times are faster!
    2. Days:  Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
    3. Time:  3:15PM Arrive/Warm-up; 3:30-4:45 Class.  (Must be out of the building/parking lot by 5PM to make room for Dom’s next class.)
    4. No class Saturday Feb 13 – Saturday Feb 20 during Winter Break.
    5. Last class Saturday, March 26.
    6. If you will miss a practice, notify coach Will Greene by text:  215-300-1472.  Don’t forget to make up the workout on your own!
