National Learn-to-Row Day: 1st Saturday in June

Brighton Rowing Club opens its boathouse doors to boys and girls entering grades 7-12 (and their parents!) each year on National Learn to Row Day, the first Saturday in June.

Saturday, Jun 4, 2016, 1:30-4:30PM.

The event is FREE!  Visitors can tour the boathouse, get a crash course in indoor rowing (on the erg), along with the basics of the rowing stroke and a brief overview of the equipment used and programs offered at BRC.  The visit culminates in an on-the-water rowing experience in an “eight” with an experienced coxswain and rowers to guide them (weather permitting).

Learn more and register at Genesee Rowing Club, the masters club with whom we share our boathouse.

We need a parent’s signature on the USRowing waiver.  Forms will be available on-site.

We co-host with Genesee Rowing Club at our boathouse in Genesee Valley Park, off Moore Road (EAST side of the river.)  Click Here for directions.  There will be signs at Elmwood Ave. at the river to direct you.

See you on the water!
