Date: Sunday, September 17, 2017

Participants: Novice and Varsity

Cost:  No additional cost; included in the registration fees for Fall season.

Location: Fairport Crew Boathouse, 1399 Fairport Rd. (Rt. 31F at the Erie Canal).  See “Driving Directions” below.  Rowers are responsible for their own transportation.

Time: Most rowers should expect to be on-site by 6:30AM and stay until about 1PM (if races run on-time).  Eat an energy-sustaining breakfast at home.  Coaches will tell rowers what time to be at the event to get boats rigged and launched.  Plan to stay at the regatta throughout the day to help with equipment and cheer on teammates.

The boat trailer will be loaded on Friday at practice, and unloaded Monday at practice.

    • Event times are subject to change due to weather and the Colonial Belle.
  • Volunteer Needs: Visit the SignUp Genius!  The BRC hospitality tent will be set up near the Fairport boat house and will have a light breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages available throughout the day for rowers and their families.  Please bring your water bottles!!!

Driving Directions:  1399 Fairport Rd. (31F at the Erie Canal)  Parking in the Qualitrol parking lot next to the boathouse. Do Not park at the bowling alley, but OK to drop off kids there.  Click Here for directions.

Spectators:  ~3900m course on the Erie Canal, from west to east; finish line at Perinton Park.   Rowers will pass by the BRC tent, which is a good place to watch, because boats might be passing near the finish.  Best way to view the course: bring your bikes!  Ride along the canal path.

Packing list:  Water bottles, uniforms.  Dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, raingear if needed, jacket, and an extra change of dry clothing stored in a plastic bag.
